Emergency Ordinance no. 82/2017 (OUG 82) for amending certain normative acts was published in the Official Gazette no. 902 / 16.11.2017. In order to keep net salaries of employees after moving social contributions from employer to employee, starting 1 January 2018 employers will have to increase the gross salary of their employees. According to OUG 82 collective negotiations of additional acts to collective agreements and contracts are mandatory in the context generated by OUG 79/2017. Negotiations must take place between 20 November and 20 December. Starting 1 July 2018, the value of the pension point increases by 10% and is 1,100 lei. In relation to privately managed pension funds, starting 1 January 2018, the contribution to the pension fund drops to 3.75% from 5.1% (the absolute value will remain unchanged).
