Order no. 8/2017 regarding approval of the thresholds for trading of green certificates and the value of each green certificate not acquired was published in the Official Gazette no. 118/13.02.2017. The trading price limits for green certificates market are as follows: a) minimum value: RON 133.0611/ green certificate (EUR 29.4559/ green certificate) b) maximum value: RON 271.0624/ green certificate (EUR 60.0054/ green certificate). The value of each green certificate not purchased by economic operators with an annual obligation quota of green certificate purchases, when not fulfilling the mandatory acquisition quota of green certificates, is now as follows: a) RON 539.4450 (EUR 119.7702) for every green certificate not purchased during 2016 b) RON 542.1198 (EUR 119.7702) for every green certificate not purchased during 2017. Approval of mandatory quota of green certificates purchases, for the year 2016 Order no. 11/2017 on the approval of mandatory quota of green certificates purchases, for the year 2016 was published in the Official Gazette no. 147 / 02.27.2017. Mandatory quota of green certificates purchases by economic operators who have the obligation to acquire green certificates for 2016 is set at 0.306 green certificates / MWh, corresponding to final consumption of electricity exempted from payment of green certificates of 6,845.56 GWh.
